28 Weeks... and two days (but who's counting?)

So today I had another ultrasound. Sorry, no pictures. The little stinker was moving so much that there wasn't really a good shot of her. (Although, it probably didn't help that she was full of sugar from the glucose I had to drink an hour earlier for my blood test.)

The good news is that she is doing well. She weighs 3 lbs. now, which the dr. said is in the 70th percentile. I was able to see her heart beating and also her cute little nose. It's always so fun to go in for an ultrasound and to see her wiggling around. We can't wait for her to get here!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Today is our 2nd Anniversary! Friday, at work, Oj sent me some beautiful roses. It was such a surprise, and they smelled and looked so nice! Saturday he took me out to lunch at a nice Italian restaurant. We have had such a great anniversary weekend. The last two years have been the greatest two years of our lives!
We are so excited to have our little family grow in a couple of months! We know that our baby girl will be so much fun and that the experiences we have will make our relationship that much greater. Love you Oj! Thanks for being such a great husband!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I made OJ some peanut butter rice crispies for Valentines Day! He loves peanut butter, so I couldn't go wrong with these. If you want the recipe look below... they were very yummy!

OJ gave me some beautiful pink roses! :) They are so pretty! I was able to put them in the pretty vase that used to be my grandma Clark's. OJ also bought me some more of my favorite perfume, Pink Sugar. Thanks babe... I love you!

PEANUT BUTTER RICE CRISPY BARS

1 C. Peanut Butter
1 C. Light Corn Syrup
1 C. Sugar
6 C. Rice Crispies
1 C. Chocolate Chips

Combine Peanut Butter, Corn Syrup, and Sugar in a sauce pan. Heat until mixture is warm and bubbly. Pour over Rice Crispies in a large bowl. Mix and then pour into a greased 9X13. Melt Chocolate Chips and pour over top. Cool until Chocolate has hardened. Cut into bars and Enjoy!

Carroll, IA

Saturday afternoon we drove out to Carroll, IA to attend a church dedication. OJ's family used to live there, and this is the first "actual" church building that they have in Carroll. So Oj's family wanted to go out there and attend the dedication. It's a little less than a two hour drive from Omaha. Here are some pictures from our drive that we took with our new camera. :)

This is the house that Oj's family lived in when they lived in Carroll, Iowa.

A cool farm

A picture that OJ took. Not sure what those are called.

The new church building
Being from Utah, it was kind of fun to go into this building. It's like a miniature version of the ones that I'm used to. There is no gym and only a few classrooms. I guess they build them so that they can add on when there is growth, but for now they didn't need anything larger.

baby

Today I decoupaged some baby decorations for the nursery. It was pretty fun to do. I love that I get to use all this pink stuff... because it's my very favorite color! 100 days to go until we get to see her beautiful face!

This is me at 25 weeks 5 days! I don't look very cute because I've been working on my crafts... maybe next time I'll get dressed up for the picture.

25 Weeks!

Today I had my 25 week appointment. Sorry, no pictures! But the baby is doing good so far. She seems to be growing right and she has a 160 bpm heartbeat! I don't worry so much in between appointments anymore if she's okay because I can feel her moving all the time. It's so great! In 3 weeks we should have some ultrasound pictures for you all to see!

21 Week Ultrasound Pics

So here are the pictures from our ultrasound on January 13th. The top one is a picture of her face. If you look close you can see her eyes, nose, and her hand. The bottom one is the picture showing that she's a girl! (I still can't figure out how they can read these things though.) I'm not sure when our next ultrasound is... I wish they'd do one at every appointment, but I don't think our insurance company would appreciate that! Only four months left until we get to see her beautiful face! I can hardly wait to hold her!

And for those of you who wanted a picture of me, here it is. 22 weeks 4 days pregnant! Bet you can't wait 'til we get to the 40 week picture! ;)

She's still a girl!!!

So I had another ultrasound today! She is still a girl, so that's good to hear!

My Dr. said that she is about 14oz. and every part of her looks to be growing just like it's supposed to be. It was so much fun to watch her moving on the screen and to see her hands, feet, and face... I could even see her open and close her mouth a couple times. She was moving around so much that the Dr. wasn't able to get too great of a picture... but I will put the pictures we did get on a little later.

I'm thinking about doing a 3D ultrasound in a few weeks here... has anyone had one of those done? If so, what did you think about it?

It's a Girl!

Oj and I went to the Dr.'s today and had our 17 week ultrasound!
The Dr. said he is pretty sure that we're having a girl, but since I am only 17 weeks along there's a chance he could be wrong. So for now we're going to assume that she's a girl. We go back in on January 13 and then we'll know for certain!

Below are some of the ultrasound pictures. I know they're kind of hard to figure out... so the round portion on the left is her head and the round portion on the right is her belly. She is healthy and moving around! Her little heart beats at 159 bpm.

Shhhhhhhh!!!

This is Oj, I'm going behind Natalie's back and asking everyone during this Christmas season to reconsider their voting (if you voted for a girl) on our poll of what everyone thinks we are having. I'm sure it will be a girl, but it would be nice to win with the most votes atleast for a boy. There is a link under the poll that says to change vote. Do what you believe to be right....during this giving season
