this is a picture of our new house that we moved into a month ago. As you can see we no longer have a big, beautiful tree to keep our house cool.
Today I dug up the grass and made two flower gardens. My friend Sue from work seperated some flowers that she had in her yard and brought some over for us to plant.
I'm so excited to finally have a flower garden.

The ones below the window have not bloomed quite yet, but they are called black-eyed susans. The ones in front of the fence I can't remember what they're called. But I like them. :)

Last night i came home from work after a big storm and our big, beautiful shade tree had been blown down. Omaha had quite a bit of damage... 190,000 people, including us, were without power. We had 90-100mph straight line winds... but the storm only lasted about 15 minutes. Even still Omaha got hit hard, and still isn't fully recovered.
In May I drove into our neighborhood after work and the Oscar Meyer Weiner was here. Neat

This picture was taken on My birthday, April 14.
We had a cake called "wedding cake". It is almost like a strawberry shortcake, but better.
the frosting is actually real whipping cream, and then of course the strawberries.
If you ever come to Omaha, this is a must try. You can buy it at Wheatfields.

CHICAGO

In the end of March Oj had spring break, so we drove to Chicago and had a blast there! It took us about 6 hours to get there. If you ever plan to go to Chicago, take lots of change because the toll roads will kill ya. We spent almost an entire week in Chicago, the first few days were nice but then there was a blizzard and we were freezing!!! Burr! We thought Omaha was bad. While we were there we went on a tour of Chicago riding Segways. That was a blast. Oj had his first pedicure and manicure while we were there, and yes... he did enjoy it! It was much needed after all of the walking we did. These pictures were taken while we were waiting for our subway! Also included pictures of the beautiful Hilton Palmer hotel we stayed at, it was very nice and relaxing, also a picture of Natalie's $40 burger!

KANSAS CITY

Back in the beginning of March we celebrated our first anniversary in Kansas City. It's about 3 hours from where we live. While we were there we stayed at a nice hotel.... and this picture is what we saw from our window. I believe that those columns are on top of the Kansas City Conference building. At first I thought it was a bridge of some sort.

This picture is us on the street by our hotel. This street had lights on all of the trees and was lined with restaurants and breweries. It was really cool to see all the people that hung out down in that area of Kansas City.
